GET INVOLVED - IT'S A GREAT WAY TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS!

To be a volunteer you need to complete a police check ($15.00) and give the school the completed report. Go in person to the the police station at 3800 Southampton Blvd., Burlington and state that you want a police check completed so you can volunteer in your child's school.

When you are ready to volunteer, just let us know! Whether you have half-an-hour or all day, we are happy to have the help! Volunteering does not need to be a year-long committment. Join us whenever you can!

Open Volunteer Positions

We are happy that you are considering offering your volunteer services to assist with Glenview students.

With the support of volunteers, the opportunity to meet the individual needs of each child is greatly increased. Also, studies have found that parent involvement is closely linked to your child’s academic achievement and self-confidence.

Glenview encourages parents/guardians and other members of our community to share their time, knowledge and abilities with our students. The education of our youth takes a community effort. Caring family members and members of our community bring new energies and resources into our schools, and expand the walls of the classrooms. Glenview welcomes your involvement in any way you can!

Glenview Healthy Snack Days

The Glenview Nutritious Snack Program is free and open to all students at our school. The snacks offered are based on choices from Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide and include foods from at least two of the four food groups with at least one fruit or vegetable each day. Our program helps children learn about different and nutritious food choices and provides an opportunity to have exposure to new foods and peer influence that may encourage children to try new foods. The focus is on nutritious eating for improved learning. Our aim is to make nutrition fun!

The program is run by dedicated parents, students and community volunteers and we are looking for volunteers to help with the upcoming school year. The commitment can be whatever you would be willing to provide – even a one hour commitment once a month would be a huge help to the program. We are in desperate need of volunteers to help with food preparation on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from approximately 12:00 to 1:15. It is a perfect opportunity to get to know your school community by meeting other parents, students and teachers. If necessary, arrangements may be made to bring your younger child with you.
